How It Started
FROM A PARKING LOT TO CENTRAL TEXAS'S LARGEST FLOOR.
Before T3, Ike Shaw worked in someone else's gym, watching members pour money into memberships and walk away with nothing to show for it. In 2009 he decided to do it differently — training people one at a time in a Temple parking lot that members still call the T3 Parking Lot today.
Word spread. A handful became dozens, dozens became hundreds, and Ike saved everything he earned to open his first gym on 57th Street. Then he gutted and rebuilt the entire building from the inside out, turning that vision into the full-service facility with a 45,000-square-foot training floor T3 is now.
Through every step, one thing never changed: Bootcamp — personal training in a group setting — stayed the heartbeat of the place. It's still how most people meet T3, and it's still the room Ike loves to coach.
